I often get this question so I decided to write a post about it. I've broken it up into topics of concern when considering a coach or therapist and addressed  the differences between the two. Working as both gives me a unique perspective in that I am not invested one way or the other.

Here's a quick primer about understanding the parts of your birth chart before you have your first reading. 

A birth (also called natal) chart is a map of how the planets were aligned on the day of your birth. From that, we learn how those planetary energies imprinted qualities that you carry throughout your life. These qualities are affected everyday by the present position of the planets, by the choices you make, and the actions you take.

So I took it into my head to look at the numerology of my MFTi registration number (my license number given by the state). What I found was super encouraging and major validation for my chosen career.
