Adriana Sevilla, MFT Intern

It all started when…

I believe counseling is a sacred journey in which I walk alongside you in your growth and healing journey. In the relationship, I desire to provide a safe, warm, and compassionate space where you can explore and process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

My therapy approach is holistic, experiential, and somatic, centering on the mind and body. I believe healing and growth consist of healthy integration, including integration with oneself, one’s surroundings, and with others. When one can integrate these parts of themselves, change can happen. With that, I draw from an attachment and polyvagal (nervous system) lens to help you understand yourself and your needs. To understand and make sense of

automatic responses and relational patterns, including scanning for safety, relationship ruptures, and attachment styles.

Moreover, a session with me can include the use of neuroscience and somatic therapies. Just as the brain holds trauma, so too does the body and nervous system. The feelings of being on edge or shut down in a numb state may be your body’s way of communicating and coping. In this, I use a bottom-up approach in therapy to help you process bodily responses and connect them with thoughts and feelings.

One way I may do this is through Brainspotting. Brainspotting is a unique therapy modality that helps you tap into the inner parts of your brain to process experiences and trauma held in your body. This can help heal the mind, brain, and nervous system, reducing symptoms of deregulation

On a final note, I offer faith-based, Christian therapy to anyone who requests it. However, I I respect all individuals of different backgrounds and walks of life.

I see clients in person in Madras and Bend, Oregon. As an added perk, I can see anyone in Oregon through our HIPAA compliant telehealth video platform.
